The closing ceremony of the 2022 Winter Olympics was held at the China National Stadium in Beijing on Sunday, ending the 24th Winter Games.
Although it lacked the over-the-top pageantry of the opening ceremony, the final event of the Olympics still featured displays of Chinese culture as well as a parade of nations that saw all the athletes enter the stadium together rather separately as at the start of the Games.

The ceremony also featured the traditional passing of the Olympic flag, as China handed over hosting duties to Italy ahead of the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo.

Norway topped the medal table at the Games by winning both the most gold medals and the most medals in the last 18 days. Here’s a look at the gold medal leaders:
