FM emphasizes increased Pak-Norway collaboration in various areas
NEW YORK, September 22 (APP): Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Wednesday stressed the need for increased collaboration in political, economic, clean energy and other areas of mutual interest between Pakistan and Norway.
The Foreign Minister met Norwegian Foreign Minister Ine Eriksen Soreide on the sidelines of the 76th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
The close bilateral relations between Pakistan and Norway were also discussed with a common commitment of both sides to further strengthen mutual cooperation.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs underlined the importance of a continuous and positive engagement of the international community with Afghanistan, in order to promote lasting peace and stability and to deal with the grave humanitarian situation in the country.
He also highlighted Pakistan’s role in supporting ongoing UN humanitarian efforts in Afghanistan, in addition to facilitating the evacuation and resettlement of UN and international personnel as well as foreign diplomats and nationals belonging to the United Nations. to a number of countries.
