The defending champion Oslo Vikings open the Norwegian American Football League 2022 season on Sunday August 21 when they host crosstown rivals the Trolls of Valerenga.

These two teams met twice in 2021 with Oslo come away with lopsided wins in both games, 35-3 and 41-6.

The vikings most recently played in the Scandinavian cut streak ending with a 1-2 record after beating the Eidsvoll 1814s 42-7 but losing to Stockholm Medium Machinery 39-17 and Carlstad Crusaders 12-6.

vikings Quarterback Jesber Johnsen and his favorite targets Frederik Fjeldseth and Linn Byrd form a deadly aerial attack. Running back Jesper Jørgensen gives Oslo a solid ground game.

The Trollswho has had just two winning seasons in the past decade, will struggle against an experienced player Oslo crew.
