Veidekke Bygg was mandated by Ulven B1 Naeringstomt AS (owned 50/50 by OBOS and Veidekke ASA) to build a new headquarters for Veidekke in from Oslo Ulven district.

High environmental ambitions have been set for the project which offers innovative solutions, and the design and construction contract covers a total of NOK 403 without VAT.

As a building, At Veidekke new headquarters will be a pioneer in terms of sustainability and the environment. The building will be certified according to the BREEAM-NOR Excellent environmental standard and will achieve reductions in greenhouse gas emissions of more than 50% compared to the reference building. For example, it will be the first time in Norway that crushed concrete from a demolition project replaces 100% of the mass of virgin stone used in the building’s new concrete. The head office will have an area of 11,300 m2 spread over six floors and provides 600 workspaces, some of which will be rented to other parties.

“We are delighted to be able to start construction work on our brand new head office on our own. We will use brand new sustainable and circular solutions to reduce the negative impact we have on the climate and the environment. It will become a benchmark building for the benefit and pleasure of our employees, not to mention its role as head office, which we can proudly show to our customers and partners,” said Veidekke Group General director Jimmy Bengtson.
