Women’s internationals: Spain beat USA, Norway beat Netherlands

Tuesday’s international friendlies saw a depleted Spanish side win over a very different American side.
Spain cruised to a 2-0 win over the United States, with Maitane Lopez scoring close from the interval and Esther Gonzalez later sealing the win.
Norway won 2-0 away to the Netherlands with two second-half goals. Sophie Haug made the breakthrough after the hour mark, Sherida Spitse conceding an own goal.
Sweden sent ten-man France to a 3-0 defeat, Filippa Angeldahl scoring in the first minute. Amanda Illestedt doubled the lead and Aissatou Tounkara was sent off, before Madelen Janogy completed the scoring.

Australia came from behind to beat Denmark 3-1. Karen Holmgaard scored in the first minute, with the Matildas hitting back with three goals in ten minutes in the second half. Caitlin Foord scored either side of a Katrina Gorry goal.
Costa Rica fought back twice within minutes of the second half to beat the Philippines 2-1. Carleigh Frilles’ goal was canceled out by Raquel Rodriguez’s penalty, before Gloriana Villalobos secured the victory.
